A Fond Farewell to Executive Director, Jordan Reiniger

After more than a decade of service to our organization, Jordan Reiniger, Executive Director, is saying farewell. His final day will be June 12th, 2026.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to sincerely thank Jordan for his significant and impactful decade of service to Boyle Street Community Services and its mission.

While serving as Boyle Street’s Executive Director, Jordan saw to the substantive growth of both the organization and its social enterprise Boyle Street Ventures. He strengthened and improved capital assets for our Group Living program, worked diligently to build and grow broad organizational partnerships, navigated the organization through the uncertainty of the COVID-19 crisis, and of course led and delivered on a new organizational headquarters for Boyle Street Community Services with the creation of okimaw peyesew kamik. These mark just a few of his many contributions to the organization during his time as Executive Director. The board thanks Jordan for his service and dedication and wishes him all the best and much deserved rest. 

The board recognizes that the role of Executive Director is vital to ensuring we meet our obligations to those we serve. We also recognize that in order to get this decision right, it is going to take resources, energy, and time. We are committed to a process that is thoughtful, diligent and thorough. While the search for the next leader of Boyle Street takes place, we also know that we must continue to deliver the important life-saving services desperately needed in the community.

Those efforts need direction and leadership, and as such the board has appointed Krysta Fitzgerald Interim-Executive Director during the transitional period. Krysta has been an integral part of Boyle Street's leadership team and has help to shape the much of the organization in her time as Deputy Executive Director. The board has complete confidence in her ability to lead the organization through this transitional period, and we thank Krysta for her willingness to carry on this important role.

I want to thank you all for your work in the community. You make a difference every day to those facing discrimination, poverty, and incredible challenges and barriers.
