Volunteer With Us

We've Missed You!

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we have missed you all very much over the last two years. We are so grateful that Edmonton has shown continued interest in supporting our city’s most vulnerable.

Volunteers like you play a significant role here at Boyle Street, assisting staff and community in ways that resonate across the city. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, including individuals who access our services, staff from neighbouring businesses, and other engaged Edmontonians.

Volunteer Program Relaunch

We are relaunching our Volunteer program intentionally and thoughtfully and we appreciate your patience at this time. We are working hard to create meaningful opportunities across our organization for passionate members of our community.

Meet Dan

As of April 2022, Dan Zimmerman (he/him) has moved into the position of Volunteer Coordinator.

Dan has been with Boyle Street since 2018, and we are so grateful to have him join the Development Team in this role. Dan brings immense expertise and enthusiasm to all that he does and has done exceptionally well in his role as Drop-in Program Coordinator at the Community Centre. We have had an almost two-year pause on volunteers, so patience is greatly appreciated as we re-up this program in a way that reflects the needs of our organization and you, our supporters!

Dan has been involved in many projects at Boyle Street over the last four years, first as a Winter Emergency Response Worker and then as the Drop-In Program Coordinator at our Community Centre.

“I am passionate about this opportunity because I believe Boyle Street's programs and community members need support and resources from the broader community, and I believe that our advocacy efforts as an organization are significantly improved when our volunteers are in closer proximity to our Community Members. It’s been difficult not having the unrelenting support of our volunteers on site and we are excited to work towards bringing our volunteers back to our organization.”
