About
We hire clients of Boyle Street Community Services who are eager to find meaningful employment.
We are a patchwork made up of members of the downtown community who face barriers to employment, most of whom are experiencing homelessness and poverty. We hire youth, adults, and seniors. Our taskers are highly capable, driven individuals who are excited to have meaningful work and purposeful employment.
hiregood was born out of the need to connect our taskers with the general public. We needed a simple, easy-to-use platform that connected our employees with the tasks that needed doing around Edmonton.

About
Four Directions Financial is an ATB agency that ensures Edmontonians who are homeless or living in poverty can open—often for the first time—a bank account with a mainstream financial institution.
Four Directions Financial offers the same products and services—like cashing cheques and saving money in a safe and secure place—found in any ATB location.
-
By using innovative technology, like biometric identification, Four Directions Financial makes banking more accessible than ever for the previously unbanked.
-
The agency was developed in partnership with Boyle Street Community Services through extensive consultations with social agencies and their clients.
-
Every aspect of Four Directions Financial—from the name to the services offered to the paint colours—was guided by clients. It's the first financial service provider of its kind in Alberta.
-
Four Directions Financial is open to everyone. You do not have to be a Boyle Street Community Services client to bank here.

Employee Mentorship Program
Location
10112 105 Ave

About
The Boyle Street Employee Mentorship Program consists of 2-week, in class activities (virtual and in-person) where participants will be supported with pre/employment skills development. Skills include job search techniques, resume and cover letter writing, and interview preparation. They also receive exposure to courses and certificate training based on their employment goals.
Participants are supported throughout this project by our well trained and experienced employment support mentors. After the two weeks of initial programming, participants are placed in casual or short-term employment with Boyle Street Ventures, HireGood, or another company of choice. During the 5 months of employment, they receive mentorship and supervision, especially in the areas of life skills, employment skills, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
