After nearly 11.5 years at Boyle Street Community Services, Linda Wang is retiring. She leaves behind an incredible legacy as the Manager of Finance - Social Enterprise. Linda has been a valued member of the Boyle Street team. She built the financial infrastructure of Boyle Street Ventures from the ground up and led her team in a way that inspired others to give their best.
Linda was critical in building the infrastructure and support for Boyle Street Ventures. This enabled the organization to become the success it is today. Her willingness to take on the most complex financial challenges and provide guidance to her colleagues has helped make Boyle Street a leader in community services in the region. She has regularly acted as the face of the organization to external partners. This was especially true in the early days, and always did so with grace and professionalism.
Throughout her years working at Boyle Street, Linda has demonstrated a deep love and commitment to the community that has accessed Boyle Street's programs and services.
Linda understood that those we serve want to work but have barriers that make traditional work challenging. This is a core tenant of our social enterprise work. Linda has always put the needs of the community first. She made sure that financial resources were allocated to support the most marginalized and underserved populations.
As Linda moves on from her role as the manager of social enterprise finance, she's looking forward to spending more time dancing, travelling, and spending time with her partner and children. Her retirement is a well-deserved break, and we wish her all the best.
As Linda transitions into this next phase of her life, we want to take a moment to celebrate all that she has accomplished and the impact she has had on the community.
