This ensures supports and services for Edmonton's most vulnerable citizens are not only accessible, but are sustained and continue to grow.

Your gift to The Boyle Street Service Society is very important and meaningful. In order to ensure that your wishes are fully understood, and your gift achieves the desired impact, please contact

We recommend that you discuss your gift plans with your family, heirs, and advisors.

More information on ways to make a gift is available through contacting BSCS.

Gifts of Cash

Your gift can be made by donating online here, or by contacting us for more information.

Contributions of cash, including cheques, credit cards and debit contributions, are very welcome. You may choose to make a full donation or pledge a sum which is payable monthly or over a period of time.

Gifts of Securities

Publicly traded securities are an excellent way to make a gift to The Boyle Street Service Society. If you transfer publicly traded securities or mutual funds to a registered charity, the capital gains on those securities are not subject to tax. Securities gifts must be transferred directly to The Boyle Street Service Society rather than gifting the proceeds. This type of gifting will appeal to you if you hold assets consisting of appreciated stock. Please inquire for more information.

Endowment

You may wish to establish an endowment fund for the benefit of The Boyle Street Service Society or contribute to the BSCS endowment fund at the Edmonton Community Foundation.

The principal of the fund is invested now to build for the future. Annually, a percentage of the investment income is re-invested to protect the principal against inflation. The balance of the investment income is used to fund current The Boyle Street Service Society initiatives.

Gifts of RRSPs or RRIFs

By naming The Boyle Street Service Society as beneficiary of your RRSPs or RRIFs you can make a significant legacy gift while also creating a tax credit for your estate. You can designate The Boyle Street Service Society directly on your plan provider's beneficiary form. Please inquire for more information.

Gifts of Life Insurance

A gift of life insurance can create a positive legacy gift. There are a variety of life insurance policies available. It is recommended that you seek the advice of an insurance agent to discuss alternatives and also speak with our development team regarding your gift intent.

Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts of property such as real estate, securities, equipment, and artifacts offer unique opportunities for you to support BSCS and receive a charitable receipt for tax purposes. Gifts-in-kind may require appraisals and must support BSCS plans and initiatives. Please speak with our development team regarding your gift intent.

Bequests

A bequest to The Boyle Street Service Society is a gift that is realized upon your death, or the death of your surviving beneficiary(ies), through a special clause in your will. Bequests to The Boyle Street Service Society are eligible for gift receipts that can be used for tax credits towards final income tax payable in the year of death and the prior year. Please speak with our development team regarding your gift intent.

Your gift may take many forms. We would be very pleased to meet with you to discuss these and other opportunities to support BSCS with you at your convenience.

Please contact our development team for further information.
